Some New, and Unusual, Proposal Ideas

So guys, is the thought of planning a proposal making your palms sweat? Well before you start to slather on some more antiperspirant, there seems to be a new solution sweeping the web. Pay someone to do it for you! 

It all started when I read an article this morning on a new promotion being run by Pizza Hut. Yes, you heard me correctly, Pizza Hut. You see, for a mere $10,010 plus tax, the pizza loving among you can be treated to a proposal complete with limo service, flowers, fireworks, a professional videographer, a ruby engagement ring, and don’t forget the breadsticks and medium cheese pizza. Seriously? You’re paying over 10 grand and all they can give you is a medium cheese pizza? I mean really, can’t they at least throw in some pepperoni and a drink? But even beyond all of that, it’s the whole Pizza Hut thing that throws me the most. “Don’t just tell her how much she means to you, tell her with Pizza Hut!” It’s just bizarre. I just cannot imagine the evening going well. You’re whisked off by a limo and treated to an assumedly good fireworks display, you propose and then you sit down to your romantic dinner of a cheese pizza. It’s like the old Sesame Street routine, “one of these things just doesn’t belong here”.

Ok, so if the whole Pizza Hut thing isn’t doing it for you, we have another suggestion, cupcake. And not just any cupcake, a $55,000 dollar cupcake. However the cupcake does come with an 8 carat diamond ring. Now let’s just take a step back for a moment. How on earth have they found an 8 carat diamond that costs that little money? I have a horrible suspicion that the diamond looks like a rock. All I can say is that cupcake better be delicious.

So what do we take from all of this. Well I hope that you realize just how silly all of it is. We can make you a spectacular ring, like the one below, isn’t it gorgeous? And then you can walk down the street to CamiCakes and buy a delicious cupcake to put it on, all for a fraction of these prices. Heck, bring us cupcakes and we’d say yes to you. Just kidding, almost, we do love a good cupcake. 

So it all boils down to keeping it simple. Yes, you see countless YouTube videos of flash mobs, etc. but at the end of the day, all your girl cares about is that you are there, professing your love, and asking her to do the same for the rest of your lives. It really is just that simple.

Oh, and also don’t forget, that we like cupcakes, a lot.
